We are

About Us

We are a growing team, but started out with just two people, William and Klara, and one happy trail dog, Nora, with a big love for bikes and the outdoors. We started out 4 years ago in Hardangerfjord and moved our operation to Hallingdal 2 years ago to join the growing scene where there are many exciting things going on.

We currently employ 2 NMIG Level 2 guides, William and Brynjar and have several support staff working with trail building, accommodation, driving and in our cafe.

Any Excuse to Ride is first and foremost about mountain biking. We focus on spending as much time as possible on

the bike and giving you the feeling having travelled somewhere each day. We like to experience the best descents but we also like to put together routes which lead you through a variation of landscapes and trail types, not simply top to bottom as directly as possible.

The Norwegian landscape can be enticingly remote and wild, it is easy to feel like you're the only ones for miles around. That is what we want to share with you on our trips - the feeling of adventure, getting out in the back country, far from bike parks - and experiencing something a little out of your comfort zone.
